" ΓΟΥΒΗ Patisserie " in Ano Liosia, Athens, channels the sophisticated aura of classic Parisian boutiques into a contemporary, minimalist environment. The architectural intervention treats the retail space as a high-end dessert gallery, transforming a routine transaction into a choreographed, sensory experience.
The core of the layout centers on an existing structural column, ingeniously transformed into the shop's gravitational anchor. A custom, fluid counter made of natural walnut veneer wraps around it, softening the rectangular floor plan and intuitively guiding customers along a circular path past the minimalist display units.
The material palette features a seamless, matte nude-pink shell evocative of confectionery textures, grounded by the restored original marble flooring. The design is highlighted by a symmetrical pair of arched recesses —a nod to Parisian arcades— lined with deep burgundy herringbone tiles, which, layered with concealed architectural lighting, create a theatrical, weightless backdrop.
