The architectural concept for the "Skylight Maritime" corporate headquarters in Athens aims to redefine the contemporary workspace by seamlessly merging corporate identity with geometric clarity and abundant natural light. The primary objective was to craft a workplace that conveys prestige, transparency, and high-end sophistication, subtly drawing inspiration from the marine environment and the open horizon.
The defining structural and aesthetic feature of the project is the treatment of the ceiling, highlighted by the exposed concrete waffle slab. This structural grid introduces an industrial yet disciplined rhythm to the space, beautifully contrasted by the soft, fluid lines of the custom interior elements. The monumental, curved reception desk with its clean white finish and refined bronze accents choreographs the spatial flow, while integrated linear lighting tracks emphasize the primary architectural axes.
The spatial layout adopts an open-plan configuration to foster collaboration, strategically utilizing minimalist glass partitions with slim dark frames for private offices and the main boardroom. This approach ensures maximum light permeability and maintains an uninterrupted visual connection with the coastal view. The material palette is anchored in warm wood veneers, sleek white surfaces, and book-matched marble features with rich veining, culminating in a sophisticated corporate environment that perfectly balances functional harmony with timeless elegance.
